Khairul Amin er finanssekretær i Rohingya Community in Norway (RCN) og en av de sentrale skikkelsene i rohingyasamfunnet i Norge. Han har gjennom mange år arbeidet for å styrke rohingyaenes organisasjoner, fremme utdanning, bygge fellesskap og skape bedre forståelse for rohingyaenes situasjon både i Norge og internasjonalt.
Khairul Amin ble født i 1971 i Maungdaw i Arakan State, Myanmar. Han vokste opp i et hjem preget av tro, kunnskap og læring. Hans avdøde far var en islamsk lærd som viet sitt liv til undervisning i Hadith og islamsk rettslære, og etterlot seg en viktig arv av kunnskap, moral og samfunnsansvar.
I 1991, kort tid etter at han fullførte sin matriculation-eksamen, ble Khairul Amin tvunget til å flykte til Bangladesh på grunn av økende forfølgelse. Han kom til Morissa flyktningleir, en erfaring som ble et vendepunkt i hans livslange engasjement for rohingyafolkets rettigheter. Samme år, i en alder av 20 år, var han med på å grunnlegge Rohingya Refugee Relief and Coordination Committee (RRRCC), et initiativ som arbeidet for å støtte rohingyaflyktninger og koordinere humanitær hjelp.
Senere tok Khairul Amin høyere videregående utdanning og fullførte en bachelorgrad i økonomi ved International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). I Malaysia var han i 1998 med på å grunnlegge Rohingya Student Development Movement (RSDM), hvor han fungerte som finanssekretær frem til 2001. Organisasjonen spilte en viktig rolle i å styrke rohingyaungdom gjennom utdanning og samfunnsengasjement.
Etter at han flyttet til Norge i 2005, var Khairul Amin med på å grunnlegge Rohingya Community in Norway (RCN). Han fungerte først som finanssekretær, og senere som styreleder i perioden juli 2011 til desember 2015. Under hans ledelse bygget RCN et sterkere forhold til norske myndigheter og bidro til å gjøre rohingyaenes situasjon bedre kjent i Norge.
Khairul Amin har også vært aktiv på europeisk nivå. I 2012 var han med på å grunnlegge European Rohingya Council (ERC), hvor han fungerte som styreleder fra 2012 til 2015, deretter som leder av Board of Trustees fra 2015 til 2024, før han igjen ble valgt som styreleder i 2024. Under hans ledelse har ERC bygget viktige relasjoner med internasjonale aktører, blant annet den tyrkiske regjeringen og YTB, noe som har bidratt til at mange rohingyastudenter har fått tilgang til høyere utdanning i Tyrkia.
Med lang erfaring innen organisasjonsbygging, samfunnsarbeid, diplomati og ungdomsstyrking har Khairul Amin vist et sterkt og vedvarende engasjement for sitt folk. Som finanssekretær i RCN fortsetter han sitt arbeid for å styrke rohingyasamfunnet i Norge, fremme rettferdighet og bidra til en fremtid preget av frihet, verdighet og fred for rohingyafolket.
Khairul Amin is the Finance Secretary of Rohingya Community in Norway (RCN) and one of the central figures in the Rohingya community in Norway. For many years, he has worked to strengthen Rohingya organisations, promote education, build community, and create greater understanding of the Rohingya situation both in Norway and internationally.
Khairul Amin was born in 1971 in Maungdaw, Arakan State, Myanmar. He grew up in a home rooted in faith, knowledge and learning. His late father was an Islamic scholar who devoted his life to teaching Hadith and Islamic jurisprudence, leaving behind an important legacy of knowledge, morality and social responsibility.
In 1991, shortly after completing his matriculation examination, Khairul Amin was forced to flee to Bangladesh because of escalating persecution. He arrived at the Morissa refugee camp, an experience that became a turning point in his lifelong commitment to the rights of the Rohingya people. That same year, at the age of 20, he co-founded the Rohingya Refugee Relief and Coordination Committee (RRRCC), an initiative dedicated to supporting Rohingya refugees and coordinating humanitarian relief.
Khairul Amin later pursued higher secondary education and completed a Bachelor’s degree in Economics at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). In Malaysia, he co-founded the Rohingya Student Development Movement (RSDM) in 1998, serving as Finance Secretary until 2001. The organisation played an important role in empowering Rohingya youth through education and community engagement.
After relocating to Norway in 2005, Khairul Amin co-founded Rohingya Community in Norway (RCN). He first served as Finance Secretary and later as Chairperson from July 2011 to December 2015. During his leadership, RCN built stronger relations with Norwegian authorities and helped make the situation of the Rohingya people better known in Norway.
Khairul Amin has also been active at the European level. In 2012, he co-founded the European Rohingya Council (ERC), serving as Chairperson from 2012 to 2015, then as Chair of the Board of Trustees from 2015 to 2024, before being elected again as Chairperson in 2024. Under his leadership, ERC built important relationships with international actors, including the Turkish government and YTB, contributing to access to higher education in Turkey for many Rohingya students.
With long experience in institution-building, community work, diplomacy and youth empowerment, Khairul Amin has shown a strong and lasting commitment to his people. As Finance Secretary of RCN, he continues his work to strengthen the Rohingya community in Norway, promote justice, and contribute to a future of freedom, dignity and peace for the Rohingya people.

၂၀၀၅ ခုနှစ်တွင် နော်ဝေနိုင်ငံသို့ ပြောင်းရွှေ့လာပြီးနောက် Khairul Amin သည် Rohingya Community in Norway (RCN) ကို ပူးတွဲတည်ထောင်ခဲ့သည်။ သူသည် ပထမဦးစွာ ဘဏ္ဍာရေးအတွင်းရေးမှူးအဖြစ် တာဝန်ထမ်းဆောင်ခဲ့ပြီး နောက်ပိုင်းတွင် ၂၀၁၁ ခုနှစ် ဇူလိုင်လမှ ၂၀၁၅ ခုနှစ် ဒီဇင်ဘာလအထိ ဥက္ကဋ္ဌအဖြစ် တာဝန်ယူခဲ့သည်။ သူ၏ ခေါင်းဆောင်မှုကာလအတွင်း RCN သည် နော်ဝေအာဏာပိုင်များနှင့် ပိုမိုခိုင်မာသော ဆက်ဆံရေးကို တည်ဆောက်နိုင်ခဲ့ပြီး ရိုဟင်ဂျာပြည်သူများ၏ အခြေအနေကို နော်ဝေတွင် ပိုမိုသိရှိနားလည်စေရန် ကူညီဆောင်ရွက်ခဲ့သည်။
Khairul Amin သည် ဥရောပအဆင့်တွင်လည်း တက်ကြွစွာ ပါဝင်ခဲ့သည်။ ၂၀၁၂ ခုနှစ်တွင် European Rohingya Council (ERC) ကို ပူးတွဲတည်ထောင်ခဲ့ပြီး ၂၀၁၂ မှ ၂၀၁၅ အထိ ဥက္ကဋ္ဌအဖြစ်၊ ထို့နောက် ၂၀၁၅ မှ ၂၀၂၄ အထိ Board of Trustees ၏ ဥက္ကဋ္ဌအဖြစ် တာဝန်ယူခဲ့ကာ ၂၀၂၄ ခုနှစ်တွင် ထပ်မံ၍ ဥက္ကဋ္ဌအဖြစ် ရွေးချယ်ခံခဲ့ရသည်။ သူ၏ ခေါင်းဆောင်မှုအောက်တွင် ERC သည် တူရကီအစိုးရနှင့် YTB အပါအဝင် နိုင်ငံတကာမိတ်ဖက်များနှင့် အရေးကြီးသော ဆက်ဆံရေးများကို တည်ဆောက်ခဲ့ပြီး ရိုဟင်ဂျာကျောင်းသားအများအပြားအတွက် တူရကီနိုင်ငံတွင် အဆင့်မြင့်ပညာရေးသို့ ဝင်ရောက်နိုင်ရန် အထောက်အကူဖြစ်စေခဲ့သည်။
